Offered is a beautifu ID and award grouping for a Wehrmacht obergefreiter who served with bridge construction Brücken-Bau-Bataillon 577, which saw extensive wartime service in Hungary. The lot offered all to the same veteran, consists of:

  • Original oil cloth Wehrmacht Fuhrerschein (military drivers license) issued in 1940 and complete with typed entries, ink signatures and official stamping. It appears no passphoto pic was ever attached. Beautiful condition.

  • One original paper award document awarding the holder of this lot the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse Mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross with Swords), which was dated in 1943. Typed entries with official stamping and a ink fascimile signature of Wehrmacht Field Marshal ERICH VON MANSTEIN! Folded in center but again in beautifully preserved condition.

  • Paper wartime award document awardin the holder of the grouping the Kraftfahrbewahrungsabzeichen in Silber (drivers proficiency badge in silver), dated in 1943. Complete with typed entries, official stampings and ink signature. Award document is folded in centerwith edge wear but still in good condition.
