Offered is a terrific wartime grouping to a Wehrmacht soldier who saw service in Russian while assigned to Artillerie Regiment 290; which was subordinate to 290. Infanterie Division. The grouping includes:

  • Original wartime issued Wehrpass complete with all pages attached and holders passphoto pic.

  • Original wartime issued paper Eiserne Cross 2. Klasse award document (issued in 1942; signed by Knights Cross holder Generalmajor KONRAD-OSKAR HEINRICHS - who was KIA in Belgium in 1944!).

  • Newspaper clipping noting this soldier being awarded his EKII award.

The Wehrpass shows this soldier saw extensive wartime service in Russia between 1942 and 1943, including in the famed battels in the Demjansk Pocket. His EKII award is noted along with his death in action in 1943.
