Wartime Photo & Civilian Award Grouping: German Woman's Mother's Cross Award w/ Photo!!!
Offered is a wonderful wartime grouping to a German woman who was awarded the Mother’s Cross (Mutterehrenkreuz), which was awarded to German and Volksdeutsche women who bore children, during the time of the Third Reich. The grouping includes a photo (approximately 5.75” x 4” inches in size; dated on the reverse with “1938) and a original German Mother’s Cross award complete with attached ribbon. In the photo, an elderly woman is seen pictured wearing the Mother’s Cross. The award itself is in remarakble condition with the enamel on the medal intact (some age fading to the ribbon is the only this I would note). I wish I had more to offer in terms of history with this grouping but I don’t - being sold as received. Really not a set too be missed!
