Wehrpass & Document Lot: Wehrmacht Obergrenadier (Grenadier Regiment 246 - 88. Infanterie Division) KIA at CHARKOW, Russia in 1943!!!
Being offered is a wonderful wartime Wehrpass / Document grouping to a Wehrmacht obergrenadier who saw wartime service with Grenadier Regiment 246, which was part of the 88. Infanterie Division. The Wehrpass is complete with tight binding, numerous entries, stampings and the holder photo attached! From notations in the Wehrpass, the holder died of wounds in a field hospital by CHARKOW, Russia during the heavy fighting in that area in 1943. In addition to the Wehrpass are a number of accompanying documents including:
A wartime mobilization notice; dated in 1940
A declaration of attesting that the Wehrmacht soldier and his wife do not have Jewish blood / ancestery; dated in 1942
A document detailing the windows pension to the wife of this KIA veteran; whcih shows she remarried in 1944 (dated in 1944)
A feldpost letter from the pension office asking about the transfering of funds to her bank account.
