sold out

Being offered is an original German wartime issued Soldbuch to a Wehrmacht soldier who obtained the rank of obergrefreiter in 1941 (unknown if he advanced higher) and who saw initial wartime service in Infanterie Regiment. 340. The twenty-four page soldbuch includes handwritten entries and official stampings throughout along with a nice attached uniformed passphoto picture of the holder of the book. As is common with these wartime books there are pages separations and cover detachment with old tape residue where an attempt was made to keep everything together (not uncommon with these wartime books). It should be noted that in addition to page/ cover wear, pages 13-14 are missing from the soldbuch. The book offers many wonderful details such as this veteran was admitted for hospital stays in 1940 and 1944, showing late war service. Additionally, he was awared the War Merit Cross (II. Klasse) in 1943 and the Wound Badge (black) in 1944. Worthy of more research and priced to sell!
