Offered is a unique and wonderful document grouping to a Wehrmacht gefreiter who was a veteran of the 1940 French Campaign, who was KIA in 1941 by the village of POKROWSKOJE in Russia (serving Pionier Bataillon. 73 / 75. Infanterie Division). The grouping includes the following:

  • Wartime issued Wehrpass, complete with all pages, numerous entries and stampings throughout and an attached passphoto pic of the holder of the book. Entries cover his wartime deployments, units, awards earned and detailing of his death in 1941!

  • A paper wartime issued Ostmedaille award document for the holder of this lot, which was dated in 1942 and has a ink signature by the authorizing major.

  • A single wartime photo of the holder of this grouping with handwritten notations on the reverse side, measuring to be approximately 2.5" x 2" inches in size.

  • An original German wartime issued paper death notice for the holder of this grouping, offering a good studio set picture of him and details of his life and death.
