Offered is a really remarkable grouping for a Wehrmacht Gefreiter, who was attached to a Schi-Brigade (Ski-Brigade), when he was KIA on the Ostfront in 1944!. The grouping includes the following items:

  • Original wartime issued fifty-two page Wehrpass complete with handwritten entries, official stampings and a attached passphoto pic of the holder. The wehrpass is complete with no pages missing and wonderful details throughout. The holder entered Wehrmacht service in 1942, being assigned initially to Landschutzen Ersatz Batl. 6. By 1943, he was assgined to Ski-Jager Brigade. 1 and to 4./Ski-Jager Regiment. 2. It was with Ski-Jager Regiment.2, that the wehrpass shows him as being KIA in 1944.

  • Two sided wartime paper death notice for the holder of the grouping, which interestingly shows him wearing the uniform of the Zollgrenzschutz (Customs Border Police); offering details of his death in 1944.

  • One wartime issued Schiessbuch (shooting Book) for the holder of the grouping with a few entries.

  • One wartime Zollgrenzschutz feldpost card sent by the holder of the grouping home.

  • One non-functioning wrist watch with a torn band which came with the grouping.
